Virtual Attendance Equivalency
Attendance Requirements
Virtual attendance is essential for a trainee’s success in online and distance learning. Synchronous virtual attendance means the trainee is present in the virtual classroom via a computer or mobile device in real time. The foundation is committed to ensuring and verifying this attendance.
The foundation implements technical oversight and monitors trainee access to the online platform. Attendance and absences are automatically tracked and recorded during lectures conducted via virtual classroom platforms.
The following notifications are provided to trainees:
- Electronic attendance rates on the virtual platform.
- Failure to meet the minimum attendance threshold of 80% will result in absence from the entire training program, and the trainee will be ineligible to receive a certificate or credit hours.
Technological Requirements for Virtual Attendance
To successfully attend virtual sessions, participants need specific technology to ensure a seamless and effective virtual experience. These requirements include:
- Computer or Mobile Device: A computer or mobile device is necessary to access the virtual session platform.
- High-Speed Internet Connection: A stable and high-speed internet connection is essential to ensure smooth connectivity during the session.
- Camera and Microphone: A camera and microphone are recommended to enable visual and audio communication with other participants.
- Headphones: Headphones help improve sound quality and reduce background noise during the session.
- Online Meeting Software: Software such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or other platforms must be installed and used for virtual sessions.
- Quiet Workspace: Participants should have a quiet and suitable workspace to ensure focus during the virtual session.
- Good Lighting: Proper lighting is important to ensure that participants are clearly visible during the session.
By using this technology correctly, participants can maximize their virtual session experience and achieve effective communication and interaction with others.
